The site of the PKUAO, to be constructed on the PKU campus, is adjacent to Zhongguancun Avenue,Weiming Lake, the Old Summer Palace, and Peking University East gate Subway Station.

　　The PKUAO building is composed of two parts: teaching facilities and an opera house. It will occupy an area of 10,651 square meters, with a floor space of 16,000 square meters(on ground). The opera house will have the most advanced stage facilities in the country to guarantee the effect of teaching practices and performances.The project will be a quite exhibitive building and add to Beijing's luster as a cultural hub.
